We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intraday and/or Day Ahead Trader with expertise in any European electricity market to join our dynamic trading team. Responsibilities

• Be overall responsible for trading strategy in the day-ahead and intraday markets.
• Trade European electricity power either within market or across borders and generate consistent, positive P&L
• Conduct, evaluate, and act on market and fundamental analyses to drive profitable trading decisions.
• Develop and implement algorithmic trading strategies in the European power markets with a focus on identifying profitable opportunities while managing risk exposure. 
• Build and maintain trading algorithms and models to execute trades in an automated manner. 
• Conduct research on market fundamentals, regulations, and pricing models to enhance trading strategies. 
• Stay up to date with market developments, industry trends, and technological advancements in algorithmic trading. 
• Collaborate with the technology team to enhance trading infrastructure and systems.
• Evaluate new trading possibilities and tactics.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field. A master’s degree is considered a plus.
• Proven track record of contributing to business growth, with consistent returns from trading in at least one European power market for a minimum of 1-3 years.
• Experience in trading strategy development and/or enhancement, demonstrating a deep understanding of market dynamics.
• Resilient and determined, possessing the drive to achieve success in a competitive environment. • Independent thinker with a growth mindset, open to new ideas and approaches.
• Exceptionally strong numerical, logical reasoning, and analytical skills, enabling precise decision-making.
• Experience in Algorithmic/Automated Trading is desirable, although not mandatory.
• You are fluent in English (written and oral).
