We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced business analyst with expertise in the European electricity market to join our dynamic trading team. As a key member of our team, your primary responsibility will be to predict and forecast the market dynamics, collaborate in the development and execution of innovative trading strategies. By leveraging your in-depth market knowledge and keen analytical skills, you will play a vital role in optimizing our trading activities. You will be play a central role by using a fully automated software platform running real time. We are working with the  state-of-the art technology, and continue to develop our platform.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of power market data, examining various factors and trends to develop and test hypotheses regarding price formations in the electricity power markets.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the profitability of renewable assets by creating innovative strategies for monetizing these resources effectively.
  • Design and implement proof-of-concept strategies specifically tailored for the European intraday and day-ahead power markets.
  • Collaborate closely with our Machine Learning (ML) and Development IT team to deploy and integrate your research findings into practical applications.
  • Provide valuable insights that contribute to shaping and informing our future business strategy, leveraging your expertise in the power markets and renewable asset management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field. A master’s degree is considered a plus.
  • Proven track record of contributing to business growth, at least one European power market for a minimum of 1-3 years.
  • Experience in trading strategy development and/or enhancement, demonstrating a deep understanding of market dynamics.
  • Experience working with forecast, demand and supply technics.
  • Independent thinker with a growth mindset, open to new ideas and approaches.
  • Exceptionally strong numerical, logical reasoning, and analytical skills, enabling precise decision-making.
  • Conduct research on market fundamentals, regulations, and pricing models to enhance trading strategies. 
  • Experience in Algorithmic/Automated Trading is desirable, although not mandatory.
  • You are fluent in English (written and oral).
